Lavashak is Iran's favourite sour snack: fruit pulp cooked down, spread thin and sun-dried into chewy sheets. It is traditionally made from plums, sour cherries, pomegranate, apricots and barberry, and ranges from mildly tangy to mouth-puckeringly sour.
Mojtahedi offers Lavashak in sheets and rolls, made from real fruit without artificial colouring. Enjoy it on its own, sprinkle it with golpar (Persian hogweed) and salt the Iranian way, or tear it into pieces for a sweet-sour addition to a snack board.
